Professional Development
The professional development committee is responsible for planning and researching our general meeting topics, organizing speaker panels, and outlining bi-weekly activities for the rest of the club. These meetings should be geared towards ensuring all general members are learning important professional skills with the necessary resources. Applicants should be creative and have a strong desire to engage and lead discussions with all members of the organization. Time management and proficiency in Google Slides are important skills for this committee!
Events
The events committee holds the responsibilities of creating, planning, and executing all FBLA chapter and semester events, such as Dining with the Distinguished and our Spring Career Event. Creative thinking and strong communication skills are a must, and individuals who are willing to take the first step in terms of reaching out to potential professional alumni, company connections, or broaching new ideas are ideal candidates for this committee.

Fundraising
As part of the fundraising committee, the primary responsibility would be to help raise funds for FBLA through various events and activities. The committee will work together to develop fundraising ideas into reality through collaboration, discussion, and detailed time management. Applicants are strongly recommended to have a bright, creative mindset, but prior experience related to fundraising is not required. Individuals will also need to be able to work in groups but be independent when needed. Time management and organizational skills are crucial to ensure that the fundraising committee is able to accomplish its goals.
Public RelationsThe public relations committee manages the social media affairs of PBL from creation to promotion. As part of this committee, individuals must have a creative and skillful mindset. Responsibilities in this committee include but are not limited to creating flyers, taking photos of events/people, and maintaining the website. The current website is run through the Weebly platform, and committee members will be required to make regular improvements and updates to the site. Preferable skills include website designing, writing, and photography.
