We hosted individuals working in finance, accounting, consulting, and supply chain management. Sarah Mohammed and Srishti Sen spearheaded planning for the event alongside the events committee. We were proud to recently host our Distinguished Leadership in Finance Speaker Event, featuring Joshua Frost, the United States Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Markets! Frost was nominated by President Biden and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 2022. Frost helps formulate policy on federal debt management, financial market oversight & regulation, and federal credit as well as privatization. Moderated by Professor Joseph Shatz, Frost joined us from Washington D.C. to discuss his day-to-day at the U.S. Treasury and provide high-level insights into the global financial marketplace. Dean Lei of the Rutgers Business School and Michael Shalonov, our President, provided opening remarks.
We were proud to recently host our McKinsey & Company Distinguished Speaker Event, featuring Somesh Khanna, a Senior Partner who leads McKinsey's Global Banking & Securities Practice! Mr. Khanna previously led McKinsey & Company's New York Office and currently sits on the board of directors at the Lincoln Center for Performing Arts. McKinsey & Company is the most prestigious firm in the consulting industry, and we were proud to host the first McKinsey & Company event at the Rutgers Business School in over a generation. Mr. Khanna discussed his day-to-day at the global management consulting firm and provided high-level insights into the industry. Our President, Michael Shalonov, provided opening remarks.
This month, we had the pleasure of hosting four high-caliber speakers from the world’s largest alternative asset manager, Blackstone. Our Blackstone panel featured Anthony Marone, the Chief Financial Officer of the Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust; Kathleen Hogan, the Chief Internal Auditor; Bobby Wallace, a Managing Director within Real Estate Debt Strategies; and Zeke Pariser, a Vice President within Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing. Members had the chance to learn from the panelists experiences and were given the chance to network at the end of the event!
Last Monday we had the pleasure of hosting Brian Fagen, the Head of Cash Equity Markets at BNP Paribas. Fagen has extensive expertise in sales and trading, market structure, and transaction cost management. Members had the chance to learn from Fagen’s experience and were given the chance to ask questions at the end of the event!
Last Monday, we had the pleasure of hosting Paul Parseghian, the Chief Operating Officer at PGIM Fixed Income. Parseghian is responsible for operations and project management at the firm. Students had the chance to learn from Parseghian’s experience and were given the chance for open networking at the end of the event!
We recently had the pleasure of hosting Gary Horowitz, a Managing Director at EY who has been working at the firm for over 38 years. Members had the chance to learn from Horowitz’s tax experience as well as ask targeted questions over his growth as an industry leader!
