We recently hosted our annual, award-winning Dining with the Distinguished event! Dining with the Distinguished is the largest student-run event hosted through the Rutgers Business School. For this year's event, we had the honor of hosting industry professionals from dozens of companies including J.P. Morgan, Deloitte, PwC, Citi and more. We also had the privilege of welcoming faculty members and some administration belonging to RBS. Students initially engaged in an open-networking happy hour before proceeding to the formal dining portion of the event. A special thanks to our Director of Events, Divya Pendala, and President, Michael Shalonov for making this event possible. The success of this event was truly gratifying and we look forward to continuing this annual tradition next year!
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently hosted J.P. Morgan's Head of Technical Strategy, Jason Hunter! Mr. Hunter has worked at J.P. Morgan for over 18 years and regularly appears on CNBC News to discuss various capital market trends. We are happy to have had the opportunity to hear about his plethora of industry experience as well as his insights for current finance students. Our members will continue to get unique exposure to industry veterans throughout the year!
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently hosted guest speakers from Deloitte last Monday! The meeting featured Peter Traficante, an Audit Senior Manager, Chris Guale, a Risk & Financial Advisory Consultant, and Juan Carlos Sanchez, a Risk & Financial Advisory Senior Manager. The event had a huge turnout with us filling up to maximum capacity! Members were given the chance to listen to and network with the professionals throughout the event!
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently hosted its first professional speaker for the 2023-2024 school year! The meeting featured Alan Olegario, a Customer Success Account Director at Microsoft. Alan Olegario spoke to students about his experiences at Microsoft. Students were also given the chance to ask him questions during the event and network with him towards the end of the event. All in all, the event helped aid our members develop professionally!
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently hosted its successful kickoff meeting to mark the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year! The gathering drew record turnout from the RBS community, including students from all classes and majors. The meeting was spearheaded by our President, Michael Shalonov, our National Liaison Officer, Faizjilani Khan, and all four committee directors. Interested students were given the chance to learn more about our organization, upcoming events, and how they could get internally involved! From revamped skill workshops to the return of industry speaker panels/events, FBLA has completely reimagined the way in which it focuses on career development. With a successful kickoff, FBLA is ready to hit the ground running strong.
